New Music
First Love in MP3 format
With his first love, it slowly came upon him watching the rain dripping on the window pane and looking at her reflection, how much fun school is, because that is where she is. He hoped to kiss her today and see her tomorrow again.

African River in MP3 format
The men and women, very strong and brown from working the paddles against cross currents and deep eddies, look forward to the next bend. As the sun comes spilling onto the jungle leaves, drying off the wet wooden deck of the powered canoe, the welcome sight of the village comes into view after weeks on the river. Smiling and waving the children in their bright clothing run down the banks to greet the visiting family and guests.

Forbidden Land in MP3 format
She picked up the holocrystal from where it had fallen, and played one sequence after another from the old days, vacations- the dogs on the roof with the kids, skiing down a big pile of snow, he wore a funny hat during their horseback travel to Manchu Picchu before they left. It flickered to a stop. This wasn't Rome - she was being watched and it was time to forage for what she could get and move on.

Whisper Alley
Lo-fi 56k | Hi-fi 256k Realplayer files
From the dark samba girls waiting in the shadows, waiting with their hot needs, lights in the low cars cruzing by the bars and the boarded up stores, some are wearing white, dancing under the dark neon signs, tasting hot, looking cool, you could sweat a little on this street an' maybe you better move on Seoul before you find out.

911 Media Arts Center Ad
911 Media Campaign, in MP3 format
I used to think that everything has to be GOOD
Polished, Entertaining, in a word "Perfect".

I did not realize that criticism kills creativity.

Finally I had no friends at all.

Then I met a filmmaker.
His favorite line is "SUPER, WONDERFUL, HA!"

And I came to realize he meant it.
He encourages everyone to do their best.
I want to be just like him when I grow up.

Now I am a volunteer for NINE ONE ONE Media.
I know my voice sounds weird.
I've been answering the phones at 911 Media Arts Center,
And helping local filmmaking talent
to do their creative work.

Join 911 Media NOW.
Volunteer for 911 Media.
And maybe I will get my voice back.

As Robert Spande writes in The Theory of Film Music "... the phenomenon of film music represents the quintessential postmodern object. It is a chance object of this era of "science of the real" which has a more abstract structure to be realized: an object which has stayed hidden and really only "works" while hidden, yet which tugs for hermeneutic scrutiny even as it is riven through the most banal of popular art."

Billy Hale's translation:
"Or would you like me to write you something sleazy like Mancini?"
